Overview:
Position : IAM Tech Lead (SailPoint & CyberArk)
Location : McLean, VA
Responsibilities:
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IAM (Identity and Access Management) Tech Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SailPoint and CyberArk, along with a strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices. This role will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of IAM solutions, ensuring secure and efficient access to systems and data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and deployment of IAM solutions, with a focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ and CyberArk Privileged Access Management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IAM team members, ensuring successful project delivery and adherence to best practices.
- SailPoint IdentityIQ:
- Design workflows, rules, and policies within SailPoint to support identity lifecycle management, access certifications, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Configure and integrate SailPoint with various systems and applications to automate provisioning/de-provisioning and access governance.
- Monitor and optimize SailPoint performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM):
- Implement and manage CyberArk solutions for securing privileged accounts and credentials.
- Configure CyberArk Vault, Privileged Session Manager (PSM), and Application Access Manager (AAM) to meet organizational security requirements.
- Develop and enforce policies for privileged account usage, monitoring, and auditing.
- IAM Architecture & Strategy:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define IAM strategies aligned with business goals and security requirements.
- Design and document IAM architecture, including integration points with other security and IT systems.
- Stay updated on emerging IAM technologies and trends, recommending improvements to existing systems.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure IAM solutions comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA) and internal security policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks related to identity and access management.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to gather requirements and deliver IAM solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users and administrators on IAM tools and processes.
Technical Expertise and skillsets:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, including development, configuration, and integration.
- Deep knowledge of CyberArk PAM solutions, including Vault, PSM, and AAM.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as RBAC, ABAC, SSO, MFA, and directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
- Relevant certifications such as SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer, CyberArk Defender/Guardian, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leading IAM projects and teams in enterprise environments.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Java, Python) for IAM tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud IAM solutions (e.g., AWS IAM) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
