Duties, Scope of Work, and/or Milestones
Reviews and evaluates GIS projects; coordinates with contract staff and ensure project's' goals and objectives are achieved.
Develop and maintain GIS project plans, including milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
Assists in developing procedures and standards for the projects to which they are assigned.
Reviews and analyzes alternatives and make recommendations regarding procedure development and project implementation standards.
Confers with and represents in meetings with staff from other departments, representatives of governmental, community, business, professional and public agencies and the public.
Supports the maintenance of and/or maintains accurate records and files related to assignments.
Prepares a variety of technical, statistical, and narrative reports, correspondence and other written materials.
Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
Uses standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work; specified positions may drive or personal motor vehicle to attend meetings and visit work sites.
Proven success managing large-scale, cross-agency technology projects in a government or public sector setting.
Use ArcGIS software for reviewing project materials.
