Job Details
Business operations specialist - work with cross-functional engineering teams to manage budget and financial reporting processes for an engineering organization. Support all aspects of P&L management from budget approval and management to working alongside finance on quarterly forecast reviews and variance analysis. Support engineering with cost analysis and evaluation for new project requests along with reporting on current projects. Manage a PowerBI reporting suite on financial performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Approve project and work and track budget progress against.
Review and approve the documentation of business processes.
Approve project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
Manage cost reporting for engineering projects
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Expert ability to work independently and manage one s time.
Expert knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Expert ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future expenses.
Expert ability to manage reporting in excel and PowerBI
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
10+ years experience required.
