Job Type: Contract To Hire

Overview: Apex Systems is looking for a .NET Developer to support a project involving larger retirement plans. The client is looking for a faster resolution time and they have a desire to build more modern applications to replace the legacy ones. Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain back office applications using .NET technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer.
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
  • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g., C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
