Tech Data Author- Level 1
Location: Fort Worth TX
What You Will Be Doing
As a Tech Data Author on the F-35 Joint-Service Technical Data (JTD) team at Lockheed Martin, you will develop and maintain critical maintenance and troubleshooting publications that support the readiness and sustainment of the F-35 fleet. In this role, you'll serve as an Anomaly and Failure Resolution System (AFRS) Author, using your knowledge of aircraft systems to create clear, accurate technical documentation that directly supports global fleet operations and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, validate, and maintain organizational-level maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for the F-35 aircraft.
- Serve as an Anomaly and Failure Resolution System (AFRS) Author to support global sustainment and maintenance operations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation to generate accurate technical content.
- Utilize authoring systems and desktop publishing tools to create and update technical publications in accordance with program standards.
- Ensure technical content is clear, concise, and consistent with operational requirements and user needs.
- Collaborate daily with engineering teams, vendors, customers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to gather and clarify data inputs.
- Review and revise existing technical documentation based on updates to aircraft design, configuration, or feedback from maintainers.
- Support quality assurance processes to verify technical data meets program and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Military aircraft troubleshooting/maintenance experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or 2 years experience in the absence of a Bachelors Degree
Desired skills

Familiarity / direct experience with and using SGML/XML,

Removal, installation, and inspection of aircraft components

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
