RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior SAS Data Analyst in San Antonio, TX.
Essential Functions:
* Analyze non-IT business problems and articulate requirements to support process improvement
* Identify alternative solutions and make recommendations to improve underwriting decisions
* Prepare documentation based on analysis to articulate recommendations and supporting rationale
* Create frameworks for assessing financial impacts of new credit strategy changes and evaluating prior changes
* Document technical requirements of proposed changes to share with technical stakeholders
* Analyze credit performance, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to extract and manipulate data to evaluate business decisions
* Will support the data team specifically to help with data requirements and data validations for credit risk
Specific Job Responsibilities:
* Evaluate current and potential financial outcomes of credit underwriting practices
* Assess financial impacts of business decisions
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis
Daily Duties Using Technology Tools:
* Extracting data from databases
* Validating and manipulating data to prepare for analysis
* Analyzing data to answer business questions
* Preparing presentations to share with stakeholders to obtain buy-in on recommended changes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Analyzing loan application and credit/financial performance data to recommend improvements to credit strategy decisions - 5+ years
* Coding in a SAS/SQL environment to extract, aggregate, validate, and prepare data for analysis - 5+ years
* Communication skills to obtain stakeholder buy-in on recommended changes - 5+ years
Top Three Technology Tools:

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
