Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Digital Development in Chicago, IL. This is a permanent job. The work will be done onsite three days a week. The rest will be work-from-home. Compensation is $180K/yr + 30% bonus.

Job Title: Digital Development Manager
We are seeking a Digital Development Manager to lead and mentor a team of full stack developers focused on delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions. This role is critical in building out structure, promoting engineering excellence, and supporting agile teams tasked with delivering integrated, customer-focused services across a multi-state business landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach a team of 10 full stack developers specializing in C#, .NET Core, Angular, and Azure-based platforms.
- Establish team structure and workflows in coordination with tech leads, ensuring alignment with product owners and business priorities.
- Act as a mentor and engineering coach to support continuous learning, technical growth, and professional development.
- Partner with tech leads to implement scalable, maintainable solutions and enforce adherence to architecture, security, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with product managers on strategic initiatives and delivery priorities, ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and business goals.
- Oversee efforts to stabilize and modernize legacy integrations, including evaluating complex Mulesoft services and identifying better long-term solutions.
- Champion clean code practices, automation, CI/CD, and DevOps principles across teams.
- Support current initiatives including the agility transformation for a major business unit, driving stability improvements, refactoring services, and preparing for potential resource realignment across seven agile development teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other discipline leads (QA, Product, Integration) to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
- Guide teams through change management and continuous process improvement while tracking measurable outcomes and technical debt.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading software development teams, with a strong foundation in full stack technologies including C#, .NET Core, Angular (or similar frameworks), and Azure.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native design, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead agile teams, mentor technical staff, and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations.
- Experience working in a cross-team matrix environment with specialized chapter leads for QA, integrations, and product management.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering high-impact, user-centered solutions.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability tools preferred.
