Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced SharePoint to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee.

Our client is seeking a skills SharePoint/Systems Engineer to migrate its SharePoint 2019 On-Premises environment to SharePoint Online (SPO). The goal is to enhance data security, reduce on-premises infrastructure, optimize collaboration, and leverage modern cloud-based capabilities. The selected supplier will provide comprehensive services including discovery, design, building, testing, deployment, and end-user training to ensure a successful migration.

• Conducting discovery, design, building, testing, and migration services.
• Configuring the current SPO tenant to replace SharePoint On-Prem infrastructure.
• Migrating site files and project sites to SPO.
• Aligning Microsoft Teams site files with designed SPO standards.
• Establishing secure file transfer mechanisms for B2B interactions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Follow Microsoft's best practices for SPO design, migration, and security.
• It is our client’s preference that personnel involved with the project be Microsoft certified.
• Ensure minimal disruption to end users during migration.
• Maintain data integrity and security throughout the migration.
• Provide detailed documentation, including pre- and post-migration assessments.
• Recommend tagging and data classification policies aligned with industry compliance standards.
• Create standardized metadata tags for data identification.
• Deploy SPO in alignment with our client’s Purview security and data management policies.
• Enable APIs for data synchronization with external tools to ensure consistent data sharing across integrated platforms.
• Encrypt all data at rest and in transit with AES-256 and RSA-256 in compliance with GDPR and industry regulations for secure data handling.
• Configure DLP policies for sensitive data protection to prevent unauthorized data sharing and exfiltration.
• Establish standardized permissions for all department SharePoint sites to improve security and reduce permission inconsistencies.
• Ability to monitor SharePoint system performance and availability ensuring smooth operation and scalability during peak usage.
• Dashboards for monitoring migration performance to ensure transparency and quickly address migration challenges.
• Enable advanced reporting features for usage insights and improve training effectiveness.
• Ensure SharePoint data is accessible through File Explorer.
• Deliver training materials and sessions tailored for different user groups.
