Test Automation Architect Newport Beach, CA (Onsite)
Job description:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Through understanding of Testing Process, Test Management & Defect Management
Strong proficiency in Test Automation Design and Architecture
Hands on Proficiency in scripting (Python preferred, else Java)
hands-on experience in any of the test automation tools such as, Selenium, Playwright etc.
Hands on experience to Create homegrown automation framework or performing major enhancements on existing frameworks
Hands on experience of working on DBT (data build tool) tool for data testing and automation of data migration testing
Good understanding of API Test automation, Data Testing, ETL testing
Experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Ability to work independently and lead automation initiatives
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead design, setup, and maintenance of enterprise-wide automation
Partner with project QA teams to guide tool onboarding, framework adoption, and initial configurations
Establish and report on key quality performance indicators and metrics
Define and enforce standardized QA practices, including coding guidelines, test strategy templates, and review protocols
Act as a technical point of contact for troubleshooting automation issues, framework upgrades, and CI/CD integrations
Support performance and load testing planning across teams, including workload modeling and execution strategies
Deliver technical training and onboarding for QA engineers across projects and regions
Maintain reusable test assets, libraries, and documentation to drive efficiency and consistency
Collaborate with Platform QA and QAE leadership to monitor automation coverage, defect patterns, and quality metrics Evaluate new QA tools and lead PoC initiatives to improve automation maturity across the organization
