Seeking a SolarWinds Engineer for a Hybrid Assignment in Carmel, IN

The ideal candidate will be a resident of Carmel, IN, with 5-7 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience in enterprise monitoring environments and strong hands-on expertise with SolarWinds.

Position Description: Our power industry client is seeking a contractor to support and enhance their Enterprise Monitoring environment, with a primary focus on SolarWinds. This role involves setting up new alerting, validating proper monitoring functionality, performing routine maintenance, and optimizing tool configurations. Additionally, the contractor will support the integration of alert triggers within the ServiceNow Event Management module.

Position Duties:

Develop and configure new monitoring alerts.

Validate and ensure monitoring tools are functioning as expected.

Perform routine system maintenance and issue resolution.

Optimize configurations of monitoring systems.

Integrate SolarWinds alerts with ServiceNow Event Management (targeting Q1 2026).

Script in Bash and Python to support automation and tool configuration.

Support monitoring for cloud and container environments.

General skills (must have):

5-7 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience in enterprise monitoring environments. 5 year(s) of experience

Strong hands-on expertise with SolarWinds. 5 year(s) of experience

Experience scripting with Bash and Python. 5 year(s) of experience

Prior experience integrating SolarWinds with ServiceNow Event Management. 5 year(s) of experience

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 5 year(s) of experience

Language skills (must have):

English Native or bilingual proficiency
