Title:

Data/Configuration Management Analyst Specialist

KBR has an opening for a test and evaluation analyst - Data/Configuration Management Analyst Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. This position requires on-site presence.

Remote or Tele-Work is not available.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the test and evaluation analyst and data products coordinator for AD T&E activities, responsible for all test data production/distribution.
  • Responsibilities will include assisting ITT test engineers with facilities setup and data collection/management for all test evolutions related to the E-2D AD program.
  • Utilizes dedicated AIS to support aircraft configuration and modifications.
  • Operates Windows and Linux based Automated Information Systems (AIS) to support flight test data collection, download, duplication, and archiving.
  • Assists on-site Information Technology (IT) personnel with Systems Administration (SA) duties related to maintenance and operations of the test support AIS.
  • Participates in strategic planning meetings to keep leadership appraised of Instrumentation and test support AIS status and future requirements.
  • Performs technical research and making recommendations for future network/AIS configuration changes to keep pace with both emerging test/security requirements and system upgrade/modernization requirements.
  • Periodic travel to remote test sites required.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR technical and/or engineering support related field(s) andtwo years of experience is required.
  • An additional eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows / Server) and Office Suite(s) (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer-based productivity applications.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, or DoD 5205.07 Series or Risk Management Framework, Joint SAP implementation Guide (JSIG) requirements.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
  • Current Information Assurance Tech (IAT) Level I certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, or the ability to gain the IAT Level I certification within 6 months is required.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • A current Top-Secret Clearance is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of VMWare and virtual environments, configuration and use of redundant array of independent disks (RAID) and components, data downloading and duplication, tape backup procedures and data archiving is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with back-up solutions such as Veritas Backup Exec is desired.
  • This position requires a motivated self-starter with a high degree of problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
