The Implementation Specialist performs scheduled maintenance in a networking environment and builds a knowledge base of a variety of common medical devices and IT systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
High School Diploma and 3 to 4 years of experience in networking or Healthcare industry OR Associates Degree
Licensure/Certifications:
Valid driver's license
This role will service areas roughly 4 hours from Chicago & Central IL....for example (as far north as Madison, WI, as far west as Cedar Rapids, as far East as Indianapolis, IN and as far south as St. Louis.
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily travel between customer locations to service for Networking platforms and medical devices.
- Basic troubleshooting of network, communications and IT equipment typically requiring a general understanding of IT and communications networks.
- Effective use of PCNS toolset to document project efforts, modify project related documentation and to communicate with project team and clients.
- Collaborate with project management resources to help plan for deployment or upgrade activities by providing input into project work plans, including the definition of key activities and tasks, allocation of resource time and execution of activities in a timely manner.
- Implement new technology as specified in approved design documents in a manner that maintains a high degree of professionalism and customer communication along the way.
- Key efforts this position will be involved with include - wireless network deployments, LAN implementations and voice over IP telephony migrations.
- Troubleshoot and repair general medical equipment.
- Document, in near real time, all repair and maintenance related activities, including the activities of outside vendors using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct rounds in assigned areas to identify equipment issues and foster excellent customer relations.
- Complete all scheduled maintenance assigned in accordance with the manufacturers' and/or local guidelines within the prescribed timeframe.
- Perform and document equipment incoming acceptance inspections.
- With the management of the project team, complete assigned duties including the deployment of network and communications equipment.
- With oversight and documentation, configure network and communications equipment.

responsibilities:
- Proactive Maintenance & Reliability: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of common medical devices (examples include infusion pumps, centrifuges, and patient support equipment) according to stringent guidelines.
- Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Perform incoming inspections, installations, calibrations, and repairs of medical devices, utilizing your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
- Knowledge Building & Best Practices: Contribute to the development of a comprehensive knowledge base for common medical devices, enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Compliance & Safety: Diligently adhere to recall and alert procedures, ensuring all activities are meticulously documented in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in near real-time. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, proactively identifying and reporting any potential hazards.
- Customer Engagement & Collaboration: Travel to various customer locations to provide on-site service, build strong professional relationships, and conduct rounds to identify equipment needs and ensure client satisfaction.

qualifications:
- Foundational Experience: High School Diploma and 3-4 years of relevant experience in electronics, mechanics, IT, or the healthcare industry OR an Associate's Degree.
- Driving Requirement: Valid driver's license.
