Job Details
Job Title:IT Field Support Technician
Overview:
- Provide technical support and maintain IT infrastructure at a hospital and associated clinic/administrative sites.
- Ensure smooth IT operations, including healthcare IT equipment and end-user support.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.
- Work in a fast-paced and sensitive clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management & Technical Support
- Support end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, etc.).
- Provide Smart Hands and Eyes support for systems, hardware, POS, and software.
- Address issues promptly within agreed SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT service requests to minimize downtime.
- Provide walk-up face-to-face support at the on-site Tech Bar.
- Support IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) and Project IMAC activities.
- Assist in both planning and execution stages of IMAC.
- Deliver IT support for VIP users when required.
Collaboration and Training
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to assess and address IT needs.
- Conduct staff training on IT systems, software, and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for new IT equipment and software installations/configurations.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Generate regular reports on IT incidents, system performance, and resolutions for management.
Project Support
- Assist in IT project planning and execution (e.g., system upgrades, migrations).
- Provide technical support for new technology and system integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of
- Servers, networks, hardware, software.
- IT support tools and processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with non-technical healthcare staff effectively.
- Willingness to travel to various associated cluster sites as required
