Job Title: UI/UX Designer Consultant

Location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH (100% Onsite)

Interview Process: Initial 15-min Teams call, followed onsite interviews

Seeking a UI/UX Designer Consultant to create a modern, intuitive, and accessible user experience for enterprise and mission-critical applications. The consultant will collaborate closely with business users, developers, and project managers in an Agile environment to design, prototype, and deliver high-quality user interfaces that enhance system usability and efficiency.

This role requires a hands-on designer who can think strategically, execute efficiently, and communicate design concepts effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Candidates must present a portfolio of relevant design work during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and developers to gather and define UI/UX requirements.
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that translate complex processes into clean, intuitive workflows.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iteration based on user feedback and data insights.
  • Develop and maintain a Design System for consistency and scalability.
  • Ensure seamless handoff to development teams with proper documentation and specifications.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Provide UI/UX leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams.
  • Adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and implement secure UI design practices.
  • Communicate design ideas clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Manage multiple design priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of proven UI/UX design experience with a strong design portfolio.
  • Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
  • Strong understanding of site architecture, navigation design, and responsive interfaces.
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Fluent UI framework.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET and C# development for secure UI implementation.
  • UI/UX certification highly desirable.
  • Experience in public sector or government projects is a plus.

Must have Skills and Experience:

Verifiable experience in taking user interface requirements and designing graphical interfaces in applications - Required | 8 Years

Advanced understanding of site architecture, intuitive UI design, and navigation structures - Required | 8 Years

Experience developing projects within the Agile methodology - Required | 8 Years

Front-end UI development expertise using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Fluent UI Framework - Required | 8 Years

Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, and ability to quickly learn emerging tools - Required | 5 Years

Experience designing and delivering complete products from concept to delivery in cross-functional teams - Required | 5 Years

Experience with ASP.NET C# language - Required | 5 Years

Understanding of secure UI design and coding practices for ASP.NET MVC applications - Required | (Experience preferred)
