Job Description
Provides strategic guidance and expertise in statistical and health data science methodologies for research design and analysis, with a focus on clinical research projects. Works collaboratively with other investigators, clinicians, and scientists in facilitating research.
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced PhD-level statisticians to join the newly established Office of Clinical Research Statistics supporting Northwell's enterprise-wide clinical research infrastructure
Job Responsibility
Applies statistical and health data science methods to research projects, with a focus on externally funded research projects.
Provides strategic direction in research protocol development, biostatistics/statistics, database design/maintenance, and manuscript development/review process.
Supports applications for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
Responsible for the statistical analysis of research data.
Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
Participates in departmental and institutional committees and activities
Provides technical guidance to statistical research staff.
Provides education and training in statistical methods and applications, as needed.

Job Qualification
- Doctoral degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field, required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership/ management experience, required. (relevant experience during PhD training, postdoctoral work, or equivalent research roles will be considered)
- Strong programming skills in statistical software (e.g., R, Python), required.
Other Qualifications:
- A record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- track record of participating in external research funding (Co-I or PI), with a focus on clinical research experience, preferred.
- Strong collaboration and effective communication skills.
