Position Overview
The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems through thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local fire safety codes.
  • Perform testing and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems, including flow tests and system functionality checks.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports documenting inspection findings, maintenance performed, and any deficiencies identified.
  • Assist in hydraulic calculations to ensure systems are designed and function according to specifications.
  • Evaluate risk assessment data to determine the need for updates or improvements to existing fire sprinkler systems.
  • Ensure that all fire protection equipment is in compliance with code requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with fire safety officials and building owners to address any fire protection concerns or violations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in fire protection or engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience in inspecting and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA standards and fire safety codes.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic calculations and risk assessment techniques.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
