DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer who thrives in complex cloud environments and cares deeply about reliability, automation, and measurable impact. This role is hands-on and outcome-driven, focused on building scalable infrastructure, improving system resilience, and enabling teams to move faster and more safely. You will work across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability, with clear ownership and accountability.

Compensation: $70 - $75 per hour plus benefits

What You ll Do:


  • Design, build, and operate Kubernetes environments across Azure AKS and other cloud platforms, including provisioning, upgrades, autoscaling, networking, and security
  • Lead infrastructure as code efforts using Terraform, including authoring and maintaining reusable modules
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and or Bitbucket Pipelines, with strong secrets management practices
  • Own observability and reliability initiatives including logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, SLOs, SLIs, and root cause analysis
  • Drive cloud cost optimization and network architecture, including VNet or VPC design, private endpoints, ingress, and WAF

What Gets You the Job:


  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure as a primary cloud platform, with exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Expert-level experience with Terraform and Docker, plus deep Kubernetes operations experience across AKS, EKS, or GKE
  • Proven experience implementing observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Splunk
  • Demonstrated ownership of platform upgrades, scaling efforts, or reliability improvements with clear metrics
  • Ability to clearly communicate real-world impact, including system scale, performance gains, reduced MTTR, or cost savings
