ECS is seeking a GEOINT Technology SME - Defense, Intelligence & Health Business Unit to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

The GEOINT SME - Defense, Intelligence, Health Business Unit (DI&H BU) will work in our Fairfax, VA office in a hybrid on-site/remote capacity (minimum 3 days in corporate offices).
ECS is seeking an experienced GEOINT Technology SME with a strong background in GEOINT delivery within the Intelligence Community (IC), Defense, and Health sectors. This individual will serve as a technical and strategic leader, shaping mission-focused geospatial solutions that drive customer success and help secure growth across key markets and market segments.
The ideal candidate blends deep GEOINT expertise with customer engagement skills, the ability to lead solution strategy, and hands-on support to competitive pursuits. You will collaborate closely with Business Unit Account Managers, Growth Team, Technology and Innovation Council, Service Line leaders and personnel, engineering teams, and program leadership to develop innovative, cost-effective, and high-impact GEOINT solutions.
The GEOINT Technology SME should have proven experience and leadership in high-value solution delivery in areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, cyber security, enterprise cloud, digital modernization, application services, and/or other critical mission areas. The role will collaborate with the DI&H Business Unit Leadership to:
- Provide direct support to DI&H BU account managers as required
- Listen, communicate and collaborate with technical, functional, and operational leadership across ECS
- Identify non-conventional solutions to the BU's strategic GEOINT challenges
- Identify new opportunities, perform market analysis, develop and execute capture plans, and monitor competitor activities at the account level
- Drive the expansion of the DI&H BU new business pipeline at the account level
- Understand the competitive marketplace; develop DI&H BU strategy for ECS differentiation
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities based on ECS's ability to pursue and win
- Lead and/or support customer strategy, requirement interpretation, and solution generation
- Support capture on business opportunities for current and future work
- Lead stakeholder management and keep the DI&H BU Leadership Team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution
- Enhance and support the customer relationship management strategy, and engage senior Government executives
- Build a positive ECS brand in the marketplace
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and development of GEOINT, multi-INT, and analytic solutions, including geospatial data pipelines, exploitation tools, automation, and visualization capabilities.
- Translate mission needs into technical architectures, engineering roadmaps, and solution narratives.
- Provide thought leadership on GEOINT tradecraft, cloud-native geospatial architectures, sensor-to-analysis workflows, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, automated exploitation, remote sensing, and PED modernization).
- Partner with Account and Segment teams to identify, shape, and qualify opportunities across IC, DoD, and Health mission spaces.
- Engage directly with government customers to understand evolving mission gaps, emerging opportunities, and long-term solution needs.
- Support account strategies, call plans, and technology messaging.
- Serve as the technical lead or solution owner on priority captures.
- Develop solution themes, win strategies, anchor graphics, OV-1s, CONOPS, discriminators, and compliant proposal artifacts.
- Write or oversee technical volumes, architecture diagrams, work statements, and basis of estimates (BOEs).
- Present technical solutions during color team reviews, customer orals, and solution walkthroughs.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, program, and product teams to shape reusable GEOINT offerings.
- Mentor junior engineers and analysts in GEOINT tradecraft and solution development.
- Guide investment activities and IRADs aligned to growth strategies.
Required Skills
- U.S. citizen
- TS/SCI clearance required (polygraph preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant business, technical, or professional field of study
- 15+ years of experience in GEOINT, remote sensing, PED, or geospatial analytics
- 12+ years of successful account growth experience supporting federal agencies
- Strong understanding of NGA, NRO, Service Components, and Combatant Command geospatial missions
- Successful past performance developing strategic customer relationships
- Demonstrated experience developing a qualified pipeline, building industry networks, and advising or leading account growth activities
- Demonstrated success breaking into new accounts, including developing and executing strategic account plans and driving sustained growth over time
- Experience working with technical teams to develop winning strategies, solutions, and discriminators
- Highly inquisitive and engaged in critical thinking
- Outstanding briefing and writing skills; experience presenting to executive leadership
- Knowledge of IC, DoD and/or Federal Health acquisition and budgeting processes
- Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS customer sites if needed
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Highly proactive, attention to detail, and programmatic skills
