Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant with deep Global Finance, Sales Commission Management, and Commission Data Conversion expertise. The ideal candidate will lead global finance transformation initiatives, support multi-country rollouts, manage complex commission calculation processes, and execute end-to-end data migration activities including validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and load processes.
This role requires strong hands-on experience across FI, CO, Commission Accounting, Global Template Design, Localization, and Integration with Sales & Distribution (SD) / Revenue systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Finance & FICO Functional Leadership
- Lead global FICO implementations, rollouts, and template deployments across multiple countries/entities.
- Design end-to-end finance processes: GL, AR, AP, AA, Banking, Tax, CO-PA, CO-PC.
- Ensure compliance with region-specific statutory, legal, and tax requirements (US GAAP, IFRS, GST/VAT, etc.).
- Work closely with global and regional finance teams for requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and process harmonization.
- Sales Commission Management (SAP FI)
- Implement and support Sales Commission Accounting, including:
- Commission rule configuration.
- Commission accrual postings.
- Commission settlement processes.
- Reconciliation between sales, commission, and payroll systems.
- Work with business stakeholders to define commission models, payout cycles, validation rules, and reporting structures.
- Integrate Commission Management with SD, HR, and Reporting systems.
- Data Conversion for Commission & Finance
- Own end-to-end data migration for FICO and commission-related datasets.
- Define conversion strategy, data mapping, transformation logic, and validation rules.
- Perform:
- Data profiling & cleansing
- Legacy-to-SAP mapping
- Cutover planning
- Trial loads
- Reconciliation & financial sign-off
- Work with technical teams (BODS/LSMW/ETL) for extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Configuration & Solution Delivery
- Configure FICO components such as:
- GL Master, Chart of Accounts
- Cost Centres/Profit Centres
- Asset Accounting
- Tax Configuration
- Banking & Payments
- Commission-related FI postings
- Prepare functional specs for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
- Lead integration with SD, MM, HR/Payroll, and other related modules.
- Testing, Training & Production Support
- Drive SIT, UAT, Defect Management, and Cutover activities.
- Conduct user training for finance teams and commission administrators.
- Provide hyper care support post go-live, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
- 12 15+ years SAP FICO experience.
- Strong Global Rollout & Global Template deployment experience.
- Deep functional knowledge of FI with Sales Commission Management.
- Hands-on experience in commission calculation, accruals, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Proven experience in Data Conversion related to FICO & commission data.
- Expertise in region-specific statutory, tax, and accounting requirements.
- Strong integration experience with SD, HR/Payroll, and Reporting tools.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with S/4HANA Finance
- Knowledge of Advanced Commission Management / IC Management tools
- Exposure to multi-currency environments
- Experience working in Agile delivery models
Education & Certification
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- SAP FICO Certification is a strong plus.
