The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $65.00 to $70.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Onsite Daily in Omaha, NE
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Position Overview:
Serve as a Senior-Level Network Engineer joining a team that will be working on the transition of network support from a shared model to in-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of all networking support for Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches, including migration and management.
- Stand up and configure new Cisco ISE and Palo Alto Panorama environments.
- Migrate switches and firewalls to new management tools (Cisco Catalyst Center, SolarWinds, or hybrid).
- Implement monitoring, standards, and documentation from scratch.
- Configure IPSEC tunnels and VPNs on Palo Alto devices.
- Support industrial Cisco IE 4000, Catalyst 9300, and occasional Nexus switches.
- Minimal involvement with routers (mainly IR 1101 for security cameras), and limited Cambium wireless support.
Requirements:
- Senior-level network engineering experience, able to assess environments and create action plans independently.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco switches, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and Panorama.
- Experience with network management tools (Catalyst Center, SolarWinds).
- Strong documentation and standards implementation skills.
