Cybersecurity Analyst - Security Operations & Awareness

Overview:
This role supports the day-to-day administration of email protection systems, contributes to threat research, and helps implement and refine security policies. The analyst will assist in deploying AI-driven solutions, automating response actions, and conducting risk assessments for technologies and vulnerabilities. The position also supports security awareness initiatives and contributes to phishing campaigns and training efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer email protection systems and enforce security policies.
  • Research social engineering threats and contribute to policy enhancements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing automated security responses.
  • Support risk assessments and vulnerability prioritization.
  • Collaborate on threat intelligence relevance and control evaluations.
  • Contribute to security awareness programs and phishing simulations.
  • Administer cloud-based training platforms and schedule campaigns.
  • Develop foundational scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.
  • Participate in incident response and basic threat hunting.
  • Assist in designing and implementing security solutions and documentation.
  • Support product and protocol research for security improvements.
  • Coordinate small project tasks and contribute to performance metrics.

Soft Skills & Collaboration:

  • Analyze and present technology options with cost-benefit insights.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
  • Participate in vendor interactions and technical discussions.
  • Engage in cross-team collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Develop troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Understand and explain SAFe Agile methodology and planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT, or System Administration.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, SSCP, CISM.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools.
  • Systems and network administration.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF or CIS Controls.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, XDR, EPP, and IDPS.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
