Expected salary range of $76,500 to $85,000 ($36.78 - $40.87 per hour), varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus, and 401(k).
LOCATION & HOURS
This role is based on-site at our customer's facility in Frederick, MD. Initial training period will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Working hours for the role will be 12 hour rotating AM & PM shifts 7:00/19:00. Occasional overtime hours may be required for shift coverage or urgent maintenance needs.

Constellation New Energy is seeking a candidate to fill a position of Stationary Engineer at one of our plant facilities. This role will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of eight Cleaver Brooks 400 & 500 HP boilers and associated equipment at our customer's facility located in Frederick, Maryland.

- Maintain safe working conditions; Identifies, corrects, and reports unsafe work areas.
- Operate assigned plants as Stationary Engineer in compliance with published Company operating and safety policies/procedures.
- Assure water quality through the use of all prescribed water management procedures at assigned plants.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and minor repair on plant equipment and Cleaver Brookes Package Boilers as assigned.
- Maintain complete maintenance records and reports.
- Write and follow-up on work orders for identification and repair of plant equipment and Cleaver Brooks Package Boilers.
- Maintain customer relationships with all customers served by assigned plants.
- Monitor assigned plant operations through various controls systems/technologies.
- Implement Lock-out/Tag Out safety program procedures, identifies potential energy sources and implement effective lockout measures with the associated documentation.
- Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations, as necessary.
- Alternating shift work is required to cover 24/7 operation of the plant.
- Participate in and successfully complete all mandatory training to ensure compliance with published Company operating and safety policies and procedures. Participate in and successfully complete all mandatory training to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Operate and maintain assigned plants to assure the safe, efficient, and continuous commodity supply to meet system demands.
- Good understanding of Fire Tubed Boiler operation, Combustion Process, Feedwater systems and Plant Chemistry.
- Worked with or understands hazards associated with Natural gas combustion.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma and 5 years of boiler operating experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1st grade Maryland Stationary Engineers license or ability to obtain one in the specified time frame.
- Federal level security clearance or ability to obtain upon hire
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including working with switching up to 480 volts.
- General computer proficiency i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, and basic use of MS Office tools.
- Ability to work effectively with a minimum level of supervision.
- Ability to define problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Ability to complete all required paperwork and documentation in a correct and timely manner.
- A customer focused, team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently and set priorities.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to climb and tolerate heights up to 75 feet and to tolerate confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations, as necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire 5+ years' experience in operating Cleaver Brooks Package Boiler
- Desire related experience in production facilities, to include boiler water chemistry and associated equipment.
- Desire knowledge of CB Hawk and Schneider Electric or similar operation systems.
- Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) experience preferred
- Prior experience with the operation of centrifugal chillers and equipment related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) processes preferred.
