Job Description
The Mid-Level Consultant, will work with project teams implementing e-Invoicing, Cloud and On-Premise products with host applications such as SAP and/or Oracle, Workday, or Microsoft applications - and the implementation of tax technology solutions. This role focuses on delivering services and project deliverables in support of the deployment of tax technology products. This role requires domain knowledge in VAT calculation and global compliance. The role requires the ability to effectively identify and deliver tax process solutions and other value-added services that contribute to revenue and profit objectives.

Essential job functions & responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experienced Senior Consultants on implementation projects while executing on client's statement of work (SOW).
  • Proactively continually develop a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies and the client market/ecosystem through the delivery of consulting services and participating in formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Continues learning the consulting role, gains industry knowledge and project implementation skills and takes guidance from senior client Consultants and contributes to projects as needed.
  • Participate in all phases of a client software implementation by adhering to client best practice methodology.
  • Assists with all phases of client projects including, review and analysis of client requirements, solution design and build, testing and providing client support as needed.
  • Conducts solution design, client application configuration, and solution documentation to help deliver successful implementations.
  • Exercise sound judgment to manage the day-to-day client relationship and expectations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • When appropriate assist consulting Business Development in developing statements of work.
  • May assist with the training and development of new team members

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience working with European e-Invoicing implementations and understanding global mandates in the market and planned for the future.
  • Knowledge of implementation/consulting, customer service and vendor practices.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and implementation/testing techniques appropriate to Windows, Legacy and/or client server database applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment and understand the be responsive to project and customer needs.
  • Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment, while working under deadlines.
  • Solid analytical, presentation, troubleshooting and design skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ERP knowledge a plus
  • Ability to maintain expected attendance at work.
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to manage job-related and personal stress effectively.
  • Has or has gained knowledge and understanding of the client business, our industry and marketplace.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on business or client needs.

EDUCATION and TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience in a corporate environment through internships or recent work experience.
  • Prior experience with e-Invoicing products and projects, involving client/customer interaction.
