Job Title: Senior Android Developer (Hybrid)
Location : Austin, TX (preferred)
Alternate Hybrid Locations: Southlake, TX or Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Onsite GC
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Android development, strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, and proven experience in building scalable, high-quality mobile applications.
- This role requires technical leadership, mentoring, and the ability to contribute to architecture and design discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Leverage the Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern development tools to deliver robust and efficient applications.
- Apply expertise in Android architectural components, Coroutines, and dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt) to ensure scalable architecture.
- Build modern, declarative UIs with Jetpack Compose.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
- Mentor junior developers, provide code reviews, and contribute to design and architecture discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex runtime crashes and production issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and development tools.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Expertise in Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt, and architectural best practices.
- Proven ability to lead development efforts and mentor team members.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for runtime and production issues.
