Location: Remote - Seabrook, NH; Point Breeze, WI; Port St. Lucie, FL; Turkey Point, FL
Length: 12+ Months Contract + potential extension
Payrate range: $58 - $64
Schedule: M-F, 40 hours
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to oversee contractors and manage change orders from a technical and process standpoint. The role focuses on electrical modification projects across four plants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plant modifications, design verifications, and procurement.

- Oversee contractors and manage change orders for electrical modification projects.
- Ensure technical and process compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with plant personnel to implement modifications effectively.
- Conduct design verifications and ensure adherence to plant standards.
- Manage procurement processes for project materials and services.
- Utilize software tools such as ETAP, SKM, Edison, ArcPlus, and Risk Advisor or SAFE for project analysis and management.
- Perform fire analysis and ensure safety compliance.
- Handle voltage mix including substation for higher voltage, transmission lines, 6.9 kV, 4 kV, 480 V systems, battery chargers, UPS, and battery voltage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plant modifications and design verifications.
- Previous experience with NextEra Energy is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in software tools such as ETAP, SKM, Edison, ArcPlus, and Risk Advisor or SAFE.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including substation, transmission lines, and various voltage levels.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractors and plant personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
