Job Details

Position: IT Applications Associate
Location: Memphis, TN

Duration: 12 Months with full time conversion

PAy Rate: $20 - $23/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers, quality analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and define system functionalities.
  • Support the design and development of software programs by contributing to technical requirements and assisting in programming and testing tasks.
  • Analyze data and system processes; assist in creating process flows, data diagrams, and system documentation.
  • Participate in the development of programs using tools and languages such as Informatica, PL/SQL, Progress 4GL, and UNIX shell scripting.
  • Perform unit testing and help troubleshoot issues to ensure the accuracy and quality of developed solutions.
  • Maintain clear and complete documentation for all development activities and changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and suggesting enhancements.
  • Work collaboratively to meet project milestones and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • Coursework or training in business application development, language development, or systems analysis is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and programming languages such as C/C++/C#, Progress 4GL, Perl, or Open Source technologies is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in SQL and Informatica.
  • Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux command-line operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
