Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Java, Node.js, React.JS and AWS to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across backend services and APIs, with hands-on experience deploying in AWS environments.

Technology Stack:

• Backend: Java (Core skill), AWS (Lambda, EC2, etc.), Node.js
• Frontend: React (preferred), JavaScript
• Tools: Lucidchart (workflow diagrams), MS Office, Jira, Confluence
• Environment: Agile/Scrum

Key Responsibilities:

• Work across full stack development expected to contribute on both frontend and backend.
• Participate in R&D-heavy early phases, especially in comparing Capital One vs. Discover tech stacks.
• Explore and evaluate new tools/platforms and contribute to strategic decisions on what to retain, enhance, or sunset.
• Create documentation, diagrams, and technical assessments for internal reviews.
• Collaborate with tech leads and stakeholders to ensure solution alignment.
• Candidates must be self-driven, adaptable, and ready to handle ambiguity.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java and AWS
• Experience with Node.js and JavaScript
• Familiarity or hands-on work with React (especially for senior and lead levels)
• Ability to work on undefined scopes and explore unknown technologies
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
