Summary:
The Global Sourcing & Supply Manager (GSSM) is positioned as the interface between Facilities Services Team and the industries that supply these services. We are responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as recommending creative solutions to ever changing challenges. The position requires an interest in market dynamics and competitive behavior, negotiation and pricing, strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to clients advantage.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in defining scope, schedule, and budget for RFx events.
  • Use of e-sourcing tools to strategize, design, and execute RFx events tailored to managed category to ensure competitive pressure on supply base. GSSM shall direct and implement supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery, and cost competitiveness.
  • Optimize supply chain performance through should cost and benchmarking models. Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
  • Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet client s performance criteria and ensure long- term business continuity.
  • Collaborate across the client organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leadership and to actively identify potential service disruptions.
  • Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree plus 3+ years of work experience, Masters degree or MBA plus
  • Strong contract negotiation experience required
  • A tenacity, passion and demonstrated skill in negotiations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can build, grow and develop key cross-functional relationships to be able to influence and drive projects
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems with 80% information
  • Willingness to operate in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
  • Experience in supplier management and operations and ability to solve
    complex supply chain issues a plus
  • End to end ownership of contract negotiations for both commercial and legal aspects a plus
  • Thirst for knowledge and ability to learn quickly
