Job Description We are working with a software company specializing in email marketing, automation, and customer relationship management for e-commerce businesses. They have gained popularity with e-commerce businesses, particularly those looking to harness the power of data-driven email marketing and automation to increase customer engagement, retention, and revenue. They are looking for a hybrid Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to their Boston office.

This companies' user-friendly interface and focus on e-commerce integration have made it a go-to choice for many online retailers and marketers. In this role you will be joining their SRE experts and will dive into strategic discussions on how to manage the development and evolution of their infrastructure platform. This involves implementing fresh patterns and standards while expanding the SRE team. You will be responsible for guiding this process across the entire engineering organization. Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 8+ years if professional experience with a background in architecting, building and delivering at least one complex system.
  • Several years of verified experience in developing impactful products and consistently driving personal and team improvement, resulting in products that garner passionate advocates.
  • Proficiency in constructing and scaling complex distributed systems, with a knack for devising sustainable solutions. You excel at finding a balance between pragmatic development and ideal architecture, surmounting technical challenges with determination, and guiding teams through crises by actively participating alongside them.
  • Proven expertise in effectively navigating the trade-offs inherent in technical design decisions, conducting risk assessments, and executing mitigation activities.
  • A penchant for delivering code early and frequently in an agile manner, collaborating closely with product management to enhance software quality by gathering feedback from a substantial user base
What You Will Be Doing
  • Offering technical guidance to influence technology decisions and architectural choices across various teams, and devising solutions for intricate challenges related to platform scalability and best practices.
  • Conceiving and constructing platform-centric solutions that address the most pressing concerns and shared obstacles faced by this companies' engineers, while keeping an eye on future scalability, efficiency, and standardization at a larger scale.
  • Working towards a unified technical vision that spans multiple roadmap items being developed across various teams.
  • Serving as a mentor for multiple engineers, nurturing the growth of new technical leadership within the company.
  • Attain a high level of proficiency with technologies like:
    • Python, Django, Celery
    • MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Apache Pulsar
    • Bash, Puppet, Terraform
    • Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, Aurora, etc.), Kubernetes on EKS
