Job Details

Job: SAP BRIM SOM / CI Functional Consultant / SME

Location

  • Mostly Remote / Hybrid

  • Middletown, PA (Onsite 1 week per month)

  • Only candidates within 1.5 hours of Middletown, PA will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, configure, implement, and test SAP BRIM solutions on SAP S/4HANA

  • Work on SAP BRIM modules:

    • Subscription Order Management (SOM)

    • Convergent Invoicing (CI)

    • Convergent Charging (CC)

    • Sales & Distribution (SD)

    • Materials Management (MM)

  • Lead business workshops to gather and validate requirements, processes, and user stories

  • Design end-to-end high-volume, usage-based billing and revenue management processes

  • Integrate SAP BRIM with:

    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM

    • SAP ERP

    • Payment gateways

    • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SOC1, and SOC2

    • Design secure payment flows including tokenization

    • Collaborate with data teams for:

      • Data modeling

      • Data migration and delta loads

      • Cutover planning with minimal downtime

      • Support customer dispute handling for migrated transactions

      • Recommend and design SAP FIORI apps for ease of use

      • Write functional specifications and review technical designs

      • Create functional test cases and perform SIT and UAT testing

      • Troubleshoot issues and support defect resolution

      • Document configurations, user stories, and tasks in Azure DevOps (ADO)

      • Conduct training for end users, junior staff, and support teams

      • Develop and deliver training materials

      • Maintain complete documentation (designs, test plans, impact analysis, best practices)

      • Work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

      • Follow all Commission IT standards, policies, and procedures

        • Required Skills / Experience

        • 7+ years of SAP BRIM configuration experience (SOM, CI)

        • 3+ years SAP S/4HANA BRIM experience hosted in commercial cloud

        • At least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA BRIM implementations

        • Experience integrating with non-SAP CRM systems

        • Strong experience with:

          • PCI DSS compliance

          • Secure payment flows

          • Tokenization and payment gateways

        • Knowledge of mediation systems for usage capture and rating

        • Strong functional documentation and testing skills

          • Desired Skills

          • SAP BRIM Certifications (BR235 / BR240 / BR245 / BR416)

          • Experience in utility or transportation industry

          • Usage-based subscription billing experience

          • Hybrid Agile implementation experience

          • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA

          • Knowledge of SAP BTP, event-driven architecture, and APIs

          • Experience with ServiceNow for post go-live support
