.NET Developer
Location: Remote (U.S.) | Hybrid | Onsite in St. Paul, MN (optional)
Type: Full-time (Contract)
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support a large-scale modernization initiative for an enterprise application environment. This project involves enhancing and maintaining a core resource management application while transitioning from a legacy platform to a secure, accessible, and modern .NET-based solution.
The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development skills, experience working in structured agile environments, and a commitment to building accessible, high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the development team to plan, design, build, test, and deploy application enhancements and new features.
Develop and maintain .NET applications using ASP.NET, C#, and MVC frameworks.
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and modern UI/UX principles.
Conduct functional, unit, and application testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Create and maintain clear, organized technical documentation.
Communicate development progress, issues, and risks effectively to team leads and stakeholders.
Follow established security, privacy, and coding standards.
Required Qualifications
5 7 years of professional experience in software development, including analysis, design, and implementation.
Proficiency in:
ASP.NET / C#
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and MVC frameworks
Web API
Telerik Controls or similar UI component libraries
LINQ and responsive web design principles
MS SQL Server and SQL programming
Experience working within an Agile development environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field (or equivalent technical experience).
Additional Requirements
Must be authorized to work remotely in the United States.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to onboarding.
Ability to work standard business hours (8:00 AM 4:30 PM Central Time).
Strong commitment to accessibility, security, and coding best practices.
Project Structure & Timeline
Initial Contract: 6 months (estimated)
Potential Extension: Up to 8 months or longer, depending on project scope
Team Environment: Agile team structure with 3-week sprints and collaborative workflow
