Job Details
Target Profile:
- 10+ years relevant software engineering/architecture experience,
MUST HAVE ~ 5+ years retail/e-commerce promotions (e.g., BOGO, bundles, personalized offers, loyalty/price rules). Not generic marketing ; must have large-scale retail.
- Architecture & delivery: Event-driven microservices, reactive REST APIs, Kafka/Pub/Sub, caching strategies, idempotency, resiliency patterns.
- Google Cloud Platform: Built and operated services on GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Apigee.
- Data stores: SQL + NoSQL selection and modeling; performance tuning for high read/write promo flows.
- Can present solution options for internal/external review; Jira documentation; mentors dev/QA.
Technical environment: Java, Reactive REST, Event-Driven, Kafka, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Apigee, Redis, NoSQL (e.g., Mongo/Cassandra/Cloud Bigtable), C4 diagrams, ADRs, omnichannel, PDP/cart/checkout/PLP, loyalty, personalization, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, observability.
