ROLE:Site Reliability Engineer
LOCATION:Columbia, MD or Chicago, IL (3DAYS OSNITE 2 DAYS REMOTE)
DURATION: 12+ MONTHS
No of positions:5(3 senior and 2 Junior to midlevel)
Must work on w2
Must haves:
5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience.
Extensive experience with SonarQube
Experience with Harness is Nice to have but they would like this is you find candidates with it.
Extensive experience with CI/CD Pipelines (Docker or Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
Description:
We are seeking highly motivated Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to join our Platform Engineering team. Youll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. This is a hands-on role ideal for engineers who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Senior candidates should bring 5+ years of experience and Junior candidates 3+ years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure and services.
Develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual toil and improve system efficiency.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure application reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortems for production incidents.
Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents with urgency.
Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Ensure code quality and maintainability using SonarQube.
Support CI/CD pipelines, especially using Harness (training provided if needed).
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldor equivalent experience.
3+ years (junior) / 5+ years (senior) in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles.
Strong experience with SonarQube is required.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
Strong Linux systems and networking knowledge.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
