Job Details
Our client, which is a worldwide leader in the financial sector, is looking to innovate their datacenters. This is a company that has been around for over 150 years and is the process of modernizing their technology stack.
They have a presence in Westlake, TX as one of their larger datacenters is based here. They are looking for someone who is skilled with either Cisco or Arista gears (if you know both, that is a huge plus). Ideally, if you have strong routing and switch protocol knowledge with solid understand of Extranet, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree, etc. then this is the role for you. You will be helping with their design and re-architecture of their Datacenter infrastructure, focusing on security of their Extranet and helping set up their Firewall teams to implement their components.
This is a long-term contract, currently slated to be 24 months. Will be onsite 3 days (Tues through Thurs). The pay rate will be between $50-60/hr along with benefits. There is the potential for conversion to a full-time employee during the 24 month period.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years' experience of Network Engineering
- Strong designing of LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprises.
- 5+ years' experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) in a large-tier, enterprise environment
- CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred, but not required.
- Solid understanding of Cisco and/or Arista Routers/Switches
- Experience and familiarity with Extranet architecture.
- Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the following layer 2 switching protocols: Spanning Tree, Trunking, Etherchannel
- Strong understanding of the following: HSRP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, Multicast, Ethernet, EVPN, MLAG, CVP
- Pay rate will be between $50-60/hr.
