Senior Project Manager - Data Team

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence across our data and software engineering teams. This role requires a strong functional understanding of data pipelines, software development lifecycles, and stakeholder management to ensure successful project delivery in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Duties:
* Lead end-to-end project management for initiatives impacting data and software engineering teams
* Collaborate with engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
* Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
* Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure alignment with engineering workflows
* Track and report on project performance using KPIs and dashboards
* Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and team collaboration

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
* PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred
* 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on data or software engineering projects
* Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
* Strong understanding of data architecture, software development practices, and cloud technologies
* Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, defense)
* Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
* Background in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
