Job Title: Sr. Java Lead/Architect
Position Type: Contract
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid), Onsite (Mon, Wed, Thurs) and Remote (Tue and Fri)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to design, develop, and lead the implementation of modern, cloud-native applications. This role plays a critical part in shaping enterprise application architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional experience in application architecture and development
  • Strong expertise in Java EE, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud preferred)
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to complex business domains
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
