Job Description
The Systems Analyst for PLM designs, develops, and launches efficient PLM system configurations and integrations to various down-stream systems and content authoring tools used in product development and manufacture. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
- Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Works with AMS to ensure performance, security and compatibility of PLM systems and integrated authoring tools
- Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment;
- Actively participate on teams representing inter/intra IT organizations.
- Conducts research on hardware and software products to support recommendations and purchasing efforts.
- Create system design proposals, functional specifications, and test protocols for intended use (unit testing) including integrations and data migrations.
- Documents solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Works with IT peers to support PLM integrations including but not limited to: Master Data, CAD, Distribution Systems, ERP's, Manufacturing Applications
- Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.
- Supports PLM Operations with knowledge of Windchill vaulting, publishing, database, integrations, performance management and all System Administration Utilities

- Data Science and/or Statistics
- Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams.
- Experience in the configuration, validation, and deployment of scalable, Windchill environments in a Product development and Manufacturing organization.
- Experience with PTC Navigate Applications, (webservices, Info*Engine)
- Experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), Load from File and various forms of data migration and load
- Experience with PTC Enterprise System Integration (ESI) and/or designing integrations to SAP, JDE or other ERP and down-stream systems.
- Experience with SQL Server preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with and communicate to a diverse user base with varied skill set.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general IT areas (Servers, OS, Database, Networking, etc.)
- Strong Knowledge of PTC Windchill (Coding using Windchill APIs/Tasks, Business & System Administration, Workflow Design, Report Writer, Context Development, CMII)
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Equivalent skill and experience with at least 5 years Engineering or IT-related professional experience.
- Medical Device Industry experience preferred.
- PTC Thingworx Application and Mash-up Development
- Technical IT certifications preferred
