Job Description:
Position Title:

Senior Systems Engineer (Contractor) 6-12 Months

Reports To: Manager - Identity Platforms

Location: Pittsburgh

Office Schedule: Would like this person to come in at least one day a week.

Position Summary:

Responsible for engineering, implementing, deploying, and supporting identity platform infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer infrastructure services (Active Directory, messaging, SSO, IAM, automation).
  • Maintain documentation: standards, configurations, service catalogs, roadmaps.
  • Stay current with technology trends and evaluate new opportunities.
  • Scale services and technologies to meet global business demand.
  • Provide high-quality support to internal IT and business units.
  • Develop and maintain performance reporting and technical documentation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning.
  • Communicate technical topics across engineering, management, and business levels.
  • Handle additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in IT or equivalent technical background.
  • 4+ years experience with large-scale Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Expertise in:
  • AD administration
  • Multi-forest enterprise environments
  • DNS, DHCP, GPO, Sites & Services
  • Disaster recovery for AD
  • Microsoft KMS, RDP Terminal Services
  • Domain controller maintenance/upgrades
  • PKI concepts and implementation
  • Preferred experience:
  • Azure AD
  • Google Workspace
  • ADFS / SSO (SAML / OIDC)
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong risk assessment, incident/problem evaluation, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
