Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Celebration, Florida (On- Site)
Duration: 2 - Years
Position Summary:
- Seeking a qualified Customer Support Technician (Intermediate level) to provide technical support and customer service to end users across the agency. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting desktop environments, and ensuring timely resolution of user incidents.
- This is a critical support role that requires excellent communication, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktop hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other standard applications.
- Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and operating systems
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on hardware and peripherals
- Support and set up audio-visual and video conferencing equipment
- Perform basic support for networking and telephony systems
- Travel to remote sites for equipment deployment and issue resolution
- Assist with inventory management and surplus processing
- Maintain documentation of technical issues and resolutions
- Participate in team meetings, projects, and collaborative efforts
- Read, understand, and enforce departmental IT policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 4 years of experience in a technical support/help desk or desktop support role.
- Strong understanding of Windows OS environments, including Windows 10/11.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and common IT support tools.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
Compensation
Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
