Network Engineer - Hybrid

Network Engineer – Hybrid

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with our clients, both in-person and remotely, providing advanced IT knowledge and problem-solving skills to determine, diagnose and solve all IT-related issues, as well as installation of new hardware and services.

Position Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Proven experience in previous technical positions, at least 5 years
• Experience with both Windows (through Windows 11) and Apple operating systems
• Experience working with both Active Directory and Entra ID, such as creating user accounts, changing user passwords, moving user accounts to different OUs, unlocking accounts, joining computers to a domain, etc.
• Experience working with Intune, Office 365, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
• Experience supporting Windows servers (through 2022), both on-prem and in Azure hosted environments
• Solid understanding and application of internet security, network and data privacy principles
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Basic understanding and ability to support VMware hypervisors, such as being able to power up/down virtual machines, adjust allocated resources, etc.
• Experience working with SonicWall devices and supporting SSL-VPN remote access issues
• Experience working with HP/Aruba switches and wireless access points
• General knowledge of networking concepts - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot physical network issues, including toning of low voltage network cables, tracing issues to patch panels, re-punching cables and replacing RJ45 ends
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
• Creation of, and maintaining, support documentation
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment
• Act as a liaison between Vendors and clients for open vendor support requests
• Microsoft, CompTIA, SonicWall, Apple, Dell and other IT vendor certifications desirable

Senior candidates will have demonstrated years of experience with Azure cloud services, AVD/VDI, W365 Cloud PC's, RDS Servers, and advanced knowledge of SharePoint (migrations, structure and permissions). Knowledge of Linux is a plus.

A strong emphasis will be placed on candidates with previous managed services experience.
