Innova Solutions has an immediate need for a Senior Information Risk Manager for a customer located in Richmond, Virginia.
Position Type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 6 months+
Location: Richmond, VA
***This is a Hybrid role 3 days onsite, 2 days rmote. MUST be local to the area!~

As a Senior Information Security Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating information security risks. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and implementing effective strategies to safeguard our information assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in risk management, security frameworks, and best practices will be instrumental in driving a culture of security awareness and resilience across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide information security risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities, evaluating their impact on the firm s systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement security controls, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and breaches, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide leadership and guidance, promoting security awareness and fostering a proactive, positive security culture within the firm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC)are highly desirable.
- Proven experience (minimum 4-5 years) in information security risk management, including risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) applicable to the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging information security trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicating complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management and executive teams.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest information security practices and threats.
PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: 45-50/hr W2
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
