Description

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in driving feature development and supporting the onboarding of new business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile environments, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in custom software development.

Responsibilities:

Lead feature development initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements.

Conduct user interviews to understand needs and translate them into actionable user stories.

Manage and track project tasks using tools such as Atlassian Jira.

Perform manual quality assurance testing to ensure product functionality and usability.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business units and technical staff, to deliver projects successfully.

Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, ensuring teams remain focused and productive.

Provide regular updates and reports to leadership to ensure transparency on project progress.

Support the onboarding process for new business units, ensuring smooth integration.

Maintain a strong focus on Property & Casualty insurance-related projects.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile software development environments.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and user story creation.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Atlassian Jira.
PMP certification or equivalent project management expertise.
Hands-on experience with manual QA processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Solid understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.
