Interoperability Test Engineer

Location : Warren, New Jersey

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system level radio verification
  • Perform new feature and regression verification on a sprint cadence
  • Provide support for new product integration and verification at customer and partner locations
  • Be an advocate for the customer or partner into the product development team
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine root cause of performance issues and test failures at various levels of the protocol stack
  • Drive continuous improvements of test processes
  • Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred) in EE/CS or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience configuration RAN core network elements and user equipment
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating system configuration
  • Experience with RF lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators
  • Understanding of applicable wireless technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G-NR) and industry standards (e.g., 3GPP)
  • Experience with network configurations such as DHCP, VLANs, IPv4, IPv6
  • Experience with synchronization solutions such as PTP and SyncE
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Bitbucket.
  • Experience with test execution, results collection, and report generation
  • Experience with Open RAN a plus.
  • Capable of executing both manual and automated test cases
  • Capable of developing and documenting test cases and results
  • Ability to work with customers and partners in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of AISG/ALD devices a plus
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming preferably in Python, Shell
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
