Job Details

We are looking for a Field Engineer to support our Audio Visual team. This role would be working both in the field and in the office with a focus on system commissioning, programming (in conjunction with our programming team), configuration, and documentation management.

Duties

Field closeout & commissioning of complex audiovisual & control systems

Creation, modification, and system tuning of audio DSP files for various manufacturers (Biamp, QSC, Polycom, BSS, Extron, Crestron, Clearone), and ability to test and troubleshoot.

Configuration of equipment for networking components, video conferencing, audio & video switching, projection, displays, video walls, cameras, microphones, audio DSP, etc.

Use of laptop and test equipment to ensure proper installation and quality control of integrated AV systems. Full system functionality testing and troubleshooting.

Networking experience and ability to configure networked AV devices, networked audio (AVB, Dante, etc.), Video over IP (NVX, SVSI, NAV, etc.), video conferencing endpoints (Cisco, Polycom) and unified communication platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc).

Client training and demonstration experience and education. Creating, reviewing, and completing training manuals if required.

Configuring and loading control equipment for various manufacturers (Crestron, Q-Sys, AMX, Extron)

Work with engineering team & management to continuously develop internal commissioning documents, best practices, and standards.

Document system configurations, and commissioning reports, review redline drawings for as-built accuracy, communicate punch lists, daily reports & programming coordination details.

Perform system evaluations of engineering schematics & field drawings / documents. Site visits and documentation as needed.

Assist with project closeout documentation and obtaining customer acceptance forms.

Skills

Experience with deploying control systems including Crestron, AMX, Extron, & QSC and associated software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong proficiency for cable terminations including audio, video, Category cabling, fiber, and control is a plus

Technical degree or CTS preferred. Minimum of 3 years with direct experience in AV and system commissioning. CTS-I or CTS-D is a bonus.

Certifications from Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, QSC, Polycom, and others is a plus

Self-motivated with strong communication skills and attention to detail

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs independently and working at height as needed.
