Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: 6 months with possible extensions.

Required:

Must have strong documentation experience. This is not a Technical BA role. They are working with the Community Development Team.

Experience in Construction, Urban Planning would be a big plus.

Must have strong understanding of Workflow and Meeting with teams to accurately document.

Could be asked to create training materials.

Business Systems Analyst contractor. Must be available for an interview anticipated the week of September 30th. Virtual interview will not be accepted. This position will be on-site (Tues, Wed and Thursday) with up to 2 days remote. The interview and work location will be at 799 G Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The anticipated timeframe of this role will be 6 months with possible extensions.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Community Development Department supporting the Community Development Agency. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Re-engineer process workflows within the Community Development Agency to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and document project requirements and technical specifications
  • Create detailed meeting minutes, action items, and next steps to ensure project clarity and progress
  • Work closely with developers to clarify requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and execute software test plans, user guides, and conduct quality assurance testing to ensure system reliability

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in documentation, workflow analysis, and process re-engineering
  • Strong understanding of community development, permits, inspections, or urban planning is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and facilitate meetings effectively
