Position: Product Manager (Manhattan WMOS Specialist)

Location: Phoenix, AZ & Olive Branch, MS(Hybrid) 4 Days onsite in a week

Duration: 6+ Months

Visa: USC/TN Only

  • Must be willing to work onsite at one of these locations Monday through Thursday with WFH on Fridays:
    • Phoenix, AZ: 7723 N Reems Rd, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340 (Strong Preference)
    • Olive Branch, MS: 7755 Polk Ln, Olive Branch, MS 38654
      • Open to candidates who will relocate
  • Do not get hung up on the job title of product manager the manager is open to candidates who have 2-4 years of strong hands-on experience with Manhattan WMOS and will teach them the product management skills they need

This is slated as a long-term contract with a low likelihood of conversion candidates should be interested in sticking around long-term and growing in this role

Duties/Day to Day Overview

Lead product strategy and roadmap development for highly automated, parcel distribution center operations including automated sourcing and retrieval systems (ASRS) goods to person or AMR picking and pack out process using MHEs.

Collaborate with Business partners, engineering teams and program management to drive business value for parcel operations.

Drive meaningful business engagement catered to the unique nuances of each business team and leader, and that builds credibility and trust

Assist in continually improving the product management organization and making it a great place to work

Develop an understanding of the adjacent critical WSI systems and processes including OMS, transportation, logistics and final mile

Perform other duties as required including travel.

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

8+ years of overall experience in supply chain product management or operations for parcel warehouse automation; ASRS (automated sortation and retrieval systems), Sorters, MHE (Material Handling Equipment), AMRs and related warehouse management and warehouse execution systems (WMS/WES).

Experience with Manhattan warehouse management systems (WMS) is their #1 technical priority

Experience with other providers warehouse execution systems (WES)

Good understanding of enterprise sized supply chain operations including OMS, shipping systems and overall supply chain systems

Experience with unit picking of conveyable product type fulfillment models

Experience with Warehouse Automation (Sortation, Goods to Person Picking / ASRS, AMRs, and Material Handling Equipment)

Experience authoring effective JIRA stories for functional requirements, detailed acceptance criteria and prioritization with delivery teams

Experience writing functional use cases that are aligned with end user expectations. Submit data requests required to execute test cases and obtain end user sign off (UAT).

Drive functional backlog prioritization and lead various requirement discussions for product enhancements.

Effectively partner with Operations and technology delivery teams & QA teams through gathering detailed requirements, presenting the business value, documenting requirements in JIRA and Visio process flows.

Provide production level support for Operations and technology partners for operational go-live and ongoing deployment validation of new functionality.

Data-driven and metric-based approach to prioritization of functional enhancements or defects. Ability to quantify impact, ROI, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.

Additional Qualifications

(Nice to Haves)

Retail Industry Background (e.g. Walmart, Apple) is highly preferred, specifically related to experience with warehouse conversion to new systems and technology that require onsite training and hyper-care support.

Medical industry background (e.g. McKesson) is also preferred
