IAM Systems Engineer Multiple positions

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, congures, and tests IAM solutions per design documents.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM systems and technologies with various applications and platforms.
• Implements and monitors security measures (including backup and redundancy strategies) to protect systems and data from unauthorized access.
• Works closely with security teams to ensure compliance with security polices, standards, and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2).
• Conducts regular security assessments and audits of IAM systems.
• Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for IAM systems including detailed system congurations.
• Logs and updates incidents, problems, and services request tickets in ServiceNow.
• Monitors & manages IAM systems to ensure optimal performance, capacity, scalability, and availability.
• Diagnoses and resolves IAM-related issues and incidents to maintain system performance and reliability.
• Writes scripts or uses tools to automate IAM processes and workows to improve eciency and reduce manual eort.
• Identies opportunities to improve supported systems and implements those improvements after management approval.
• Implements and tests vendor-supplied updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Ensures backup systems are in place, and regularly tested, minimizing downtime in case of an emergency.
• Provides Level 3 technical support to end-users and resolves technical inquiries.
• Consults with 3rd party vendors and IT service providers for support when required.
• Stays up to date with the latest trends and developments in IAM systems and technologies
• Follows RP procedures and submits improvement suggestions to architect.
• Provides training and support to IT Support Analysts, other IT teams, and end-users.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related eld.
• 8+ years of experience providing IAM services.
• 3+ years in system engineering role installing, conguring, troubleshooting, administration, performance tuning and monitoring of supported systems.
• Experience with IAM platforms and technologies (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity).
• Strong understanding of identity provisioning, access Data governance, SSO, MFA and PAM.
• Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
• Familiarity with IAM protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.
• Experience creating scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python) and setting up software for automation.
• Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
• Certications in Certied Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Okta, CompTIA, Certied Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or related area is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare IT is preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical information eectively (written, verbal, and face-to-face), sometimes to non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and decision-making abilities.
