Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Mainframe Systems Programmer with strong expertise in enterprise security, workload automation, and change management tools. We need someone with a proven track record of leading end-to-end mainframe migration and modernization projects, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance in z/OS environments.
Required Core Skills & Technical Expertise
· A minimum of fifteen years of experience with RACF and CA ACF2 for mainframe security implementation, user provisioning, access control, and compliance auditing.
· Expertise in policy management, dataset protection, and cross-domain authentication.
· Proficient with CA-7 and IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS) for job scheduling, monitoring, and optimization.
· Skilled in defining job networks, calendars, triggers, and recovery procedures.
· Deep experience with Endevor and Changeman for code management, software version control, and deployment in production and test environments.
· Strong understanding of build and promotion life cycles within z/OS development pipelines.
· Led multiple mainframe migration projects, including tool transitions and modernization initiatives.
· Skilled in risk assessment, migration planning, tool mapping, and post-migration validation.
Leadership & Project Experience
· Served as Team Lead overseeing a team of mainframe system programmers and application support specialists.
· Coordinated with infrastructure, storage, and network teams to ensure seamless system upgrades and migration readiness.
· Managed project timelines, resource allocation, and status reporting for enterprise-level transitions.
· Mentored junior staff on security administration, automation scripting, and configuration management best practices.
