Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (LOCALS- 3 days onsite per week)

Pay Rate: $85/hr (C2C)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to help design, build, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure using HashiCorp's suite of tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, and security best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the ongoing modernization of enterprise cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage multi-cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS, and related tools.

Build and maintain Terraform modules for provisioning and managing cloud environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle.

Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Packer and integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Manage Vault for secure secrets management and encryption services.

Define and enforce Sentinel policies to ensure compliance and security best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

Conduct POCs and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance cloud operations.

Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, costs, and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.

Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, automation, and processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years in cloud infrastructure.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC.

1+ year experience using Packer and Vault.

Strong knowledge of AWS services including IAM, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Node.js.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, RESTful APIs, and JSON/XML.

Experience with extended AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and ElastiCache.

Knowledge of cloud security automation and cost optimization.

AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer) preferred.
