To coordinate many unique interfaces on this scale, exceptional communication and organizational skills are a must-have. The candidate for this position will be required to interface with NAVSEA, government vendors and various other Electric Boat departments on a daily basis.
Additionally, the fiber-optic team is Electric Boat's Fiber-Optic Center of Excellence providing general fiber-optic expertise for the company.
This position will require the engineer to perform technology investigations, write white papers, review/approve drawings, resolve construction issues, identify/manage risks, recognize opportunities for cost reduction, track/evaluate requirements and manage various projects.
